Ben Busby
Frisco City, AL
Background
Ben Busby has hunted since he was old enough to walk. He was fortunate enough to have a mother and father who introduced him to hunting at a very early age. He harvested his first whitetail deer with a 12 gauge out of a lawn chair at age 10. From that day on, he has never looked back. He has been hunting for 17 years from that day. He loves to hunt upland birds, with bobwhite quail being on the top of his list. He also has a springtime passion that includes an Eastern Wild Turkey.
Ben is also an amateur bird dog trainer. He has been training bird dogs for about 3 years and loved every minute of it. There is no better feeling for him than to see a dog he trained in the field working and hunting hard for him.
Ben is a board member on his local NWTF chapter in Alabama; they help with Women in the Outdoors, Wheelin Sportsmen, and Jakes, which is organized to help youth get outdoors. He is also a board member on his local Quail Forever chapter in Alabama. A graduate of Auburn University Montgomery, Ben has a B.S. in Business Administration. He is married to a wonderful wife and is father to a son who likes to be outdoors as much if not more than Ben does. He has been blessed with such an awesome family that supports him in the outdoors, whether it is traveling to hunt, taking kids hunting, or just getting out and farming for wildlife.
Why I Use SportDOG Brand
I am an avid dog trainer. I have been doing it for 3 years now and love it. I love using SportDOG equipment; I put it through some rough conditions and it has held up for me.
Favorite Products
I am currently using the Sport Hunter 1225. I was an owner of a competitor's collar and was having problems with it taking a charge, and when I would “nick” my dog the stimulation would only work half of the time. I was not happy with this collar, then I tried SportDOG, and now this is the only collar I will have.
