Through its support of established conservation organizations such as Pheasants Forever, fledgling conservation groups such as Quail Forever and participation in local “on the ground” habitat improvement projects, to name just a few of its initial commitments, SportDOG Brand™ is committed to giving something back to the causes that its customers care about.
“SportDOG™ employees are more than committed to causes that go beyond providing great products,” said Lance Tracy, SportDOG Brand™ director. “We and our families enjoy many of the same opportunities to hunt and enjoy wild places that our customers do. As a result, we recognize the importance of wise conservation and habitat enhancement initiatives.
“We’re excited about opportunities to partner with some of the most proactive and respected conservation organizations. These grassroots organizations work with state, federal and private wildlife and land management agencies to conserve wild game populations and critical wildlife habitat.”
SportDOG Brand™ product specialist Gary Williams coordinates this company initiative. “Gary is the kind of guy who’s going to be out there helping and participating in these kinds of projects whether its part of his day job or not,” Tracy said. “One Saturday might find him putting up wood duck nesting boxes at a local wildlife management area and the next weekend he might be visiting a PF habitat project location to learn how we can help. We couldn’t be prouder to have someone like Gary representing us as we look for more ways to support conservation initiatives.”
“I do have a personal interest in this kind of work,” Williams said. “It’s kind of exciting that I can let customers and others in the industry know that I and my co-workers have made a genuine commitment to support our company’s efforts. This is more than a token contribution we’re making. We’re proud to showcase our efforts and those of our conservation partners to our customers since we share a mutual interest and enjoyment of hunting with sporting dogs, family and friends.”
