SportDOG Brand Partners with Conservation Leader Delta Waterfowl
Knoxville, Tenn. (June 14, 2010) - SportDOG Brand® has announced its partnership with Delta Waterfowl, a 46,000- member conservation organization with chapters in 41 states and seven Canadian provinces. As part of the partnership agreement, SportDOG Brand becomes the official dog training gear partner of Delta.
“Delta’s vision of securing a bright future for waterfowl and waterfowl hunting is in keeping with the goals of our SportDOG Conservation Fund®, and it’s a vision shared by many of our customers as well,” said Eleanor Marshall of SportDOG Brand. “We are making great efforts to expand our support of conservation efforts, and this partnership with Delta is a huge step in that regard.”
Delta Waterfowl was also one of four 2009 recipients of SportDOG Conservation Fund’s annual grants. The group received $5,000 to assist in a study of mallards in northeastern North Dakota, examining the birds’ post-breeding movements, habitat usage and mortality.
Delta’s objectives include conducting high-quality research, evaluating new scientific techniques, training students in conservation practices, influencing public policy, and preserving and promoting hunting as an integral part of waterfowl management.
