Radio Systems Corporation Acquisition Of Radio Frequency Technology

Knoxville, Tenn. (December 16, 2010) – Radio Systems Corporation has announced its acquisition of radio frequency technology from Tracker, Oy, of Oulu, Finland. Radio Systems Corp. will immediately being incorporating Tracker’s RF technology into its line of sporting dog tracking and training products.

“For nearly two years now we have been the North American distributor for Tracker products via our SportDOG Brand® Division,” said Lance Tracy, Vice President of New Market Development for RSC. “Acquiring Tracker’s RF technology will help us consolidate our product offerings and continue to improve and expand upon our long-range tracking and training products, including our new TEK Series GPS/RF-linked system.”

Tracker has long been recognized as a leading manufacturer of products for trailing and tracking dogs. Hunters rely on Tracker products to keep tabs on hounds during raccoon, bear, hog and lion hunting; beagles during rabbit hunting; and far-ranging pointing dogs during upland bird hunts.

Some of Tracker’s most popular products include the Maxima receiver and Intelo and Strike collars. “This purchase includes a new RF design that has the potential for broad use across existing RSC products,” said Tracy. “It also supports an RSC strategy of growing by acquisition and establishing market leadership.”
