Ben Busby
Frisco City, AL
Background
Ben Busby has been hunting since he was old enough to walk. He was lucky to have a mother and father who introduced him to hunting at a very young age. He took his first whitetail deer with a 12-bore from a garden chair at the age of 10. Since that day, he has never looked back. He has been hunting for 17 years since that day. He enjoys hunting upland game birds, with bobwhite quail being his favourite. He also has a springtime passion that includes hunting the Eastern Wild Turkey.
Ben is also an amateur gundog trainer. He has been training gundogs for about 3 years and loved every minute of it. There is no better feeling for him than to see a dog he trained in the field working and hunting hard for him.
Ben is a board member of his local NWTF chapter in Alabama; they assist with Women in the Outdoors, Wheelin Sportsmen, and Jakes, which is organised to help young people enjoy the outdoors. He is also a board member of his local Quail Forever chapter in Alabama. A graduate of Auburn University Montgomery, Ben has a BSc in Business Administration. He is married to a wonderful wife and is father to a son who enjoys the outdoors as much, if not more, than Ben. He has been blessed with such a marvellous family that supports him in his outdoor pursuits, whether it's travelling to hunt, taking children hunting, or simply going out and farming for wildlife.
Why I Use SportDOG Brand
I am an avid dog trainer. I have been doing it for 3 years now and love it. I love using SportDOG equipment; I put it through some rough conditions and it has held up for me.
Favourite Products
I am currently using the Sport Hunter 1225. I was an owner of a competitor's collar and was having problems with it taking a charge, and when I would 'nick' my dog the stimulation would only work half of the time. I was not happy with this collar, then I tried SportDOG, and now this is the only collar I will have.
