Programming the Beeper Tone/Modes

To Set the Tone

  1. Reset the Add-A-Beeper
  2. Turn the Add-A-Beeper off.
  3. Press and hold the ON/OFF button. After 8 seconds, the Add-A-Beeper will start to emit the different tones (see chart).
  4. Continue holding the ON/OFF button until the desired tone is emitted.

Beeper Tones

  1.     Low Volume Hawk
  2.     High Volume Hawk
  3.     Bobwhite Quail Call
  4.     Triple Beep
  5.     Low Volume Beep
  6.     High Volume Beep
  7.     Double High Volume Beep
  8.     High Falling to Low Volume
  9.     Double High Falling to Low Volume

To Set the Run Mode
To program the Run Mode, press the ON/OFF button again within 2 seconds of programming the Tone. The Add-A-Beeper™ will emit a single beep for Mode 1, a double beep for Mode 2, and a triple beep for Mode 3. When the desired mode is heard, release the ON/OFF button. The unit will then go into normal operating mode and the LED will blink every second.

Mode 1: Silent No beep when dog is running. Beeps once per second when the dog is on point.
Mode 2: 5 Second Beeps every 5 seconds when dog is running. Beeps once per second when dog is on point.
Mode 3: 10 Second Beeps every 10 seconds when dog is running. Beeps once per second when dog is on point.

Programming Locator to work with SD-1850 Transmitter:

  • Turn the Locator off.
  • Turn collar off.
  • Press and hold ON/OFF button on the collar. The collar light will be solid red for 4 to 5 seconds. You may need to hold both units 2-3 feet from each other before this occurs.
  • Release the ON/OFF button. The collar light will go out.
  • Press and release the Locate Button. The beeper will flash 5 times and the collar will blink red. If the Locator’s Indicator Light does not flash 5 times, start over and repeat from step 1.
  • Press the locate button again. The beeper will turn off.

Programming Locator to SD-400, SD-400S, SD-400CAMO, SD-800, SD-800CAMO and SD-1800

  • To use the Locator with these systems, make sure the Transmitter is set to modes 1,2,3, or 5. DO NOT set the Transmitter to Modes 4 or 6.
  • Press the tone button to match the locator to the transmitter
  • For using the Locator with 2 dogs, an SD-1800 system must be used.

Programming Locator to SD-1200

  • Make sure the Transmitter is set to modes 4 or 7.
  • Press the tone button to match the locator to the transmitter.

Programming Locator to SD-2400

  • Simply press the green button.

Programming Locator to SD-2500

  • Make sure the Transmitter is set to mode 6.
  • Press the tone button to match the locator to the transmitter.
