SportDOG Brand Conservation Fund®

For the Birds Twenty Years Out of Range

We at SportDOG and our families enjoy many of the same hunting opportunities and outdoor activities that our customers do. As a result, we recognize the importance of wise conservation and habitat-enhancement initiatives. We support conservation efforts by contributing time and funding to projects that ensure hunters will have wild places to hunt wild game for generations to come. From habitat-enhancement projects at the local level to partnerships with some of the most proactive and respected national conservation organizations, SportDOG is proud to contribute.

Our Conservation Fund Program highlights our support for these grassroots organizations, which work with state, federal, and private wildlife and land management agencies to conserve wild game populations and critical habitat that wildlife depends on.

Check back often so we can tell you more about how the SportDOG Brand Conservation Fund® is working to enhance our mutual enjoyment of hunting with sporting dogs, friends and family.

SportDOG Brand Conservation Fund® Grant Program

When it comes to conservation, we’re all in this together. Since 2008, SportDOG Brand has made a commitment to ensuring the health of the outdoor community through our SportDOG Brand® Conservation Fund® Grant Program. Each year, we have granted $5,000 to each of four (4) winning applications to go to further the goals of their conservation and education initiatives. These projects have included wetland breeding initiatives, upland habitat conservation, youth education and introduction, habitat enhancement materials, predation studies and many more, all of which have been incredibly beneficial to their communities and our sport as a whole.

As this program has grown, so has the stress of picking winning applications. Every year, we see a lot of great projects, all of which we would be proud to be a part of, but only four can receive the $5,000 grant. This year, we would like to enlist the help of all of our fans and supporters to help us with the tie breakers. This year we are asking that all applications be submitted by July 1, 2012. On September 1, 2012, we will announce three (3) grant winners and (4) projects that have the potential to win. At this point, we will turn the voting over to you. You all will have the chance to vote for your favorite of these four projects, and at the end of the contest, the applicant with the most votes will be awarded the final $5,000 grant. This is a great opportunity to garner support for your application, your organization and your conservation goals. Get those applications in soon, and please check back often to find updates on the applicants and contest.  Click here for Grant Program Application and Guidelines.

Successful applicants will use these grants to help fund projects dedicated to habitat enhancement, game conservation, training education and/or youth education and involvement. It is through such projects that we help ensure sportsmen can continue to enjoy outdoor opportunities for generations to come.

SportDOG Brand Conservation Fund® Youth Grant Program

Conservation is all about the future. At SportDOG Brand®, we want to help ensure that tomorrow’s conservationists have the motivation and funding they need to continue the sporting community’s proud legacy of wise use of our natural resources.   Click here for more.

We created the Kids in Conservation program, an extension of our Conservation Fund, to lend support to and recognize groups and individuals whose efforts are focused on a better tomorrow for wildlife and the wild places in which it thrives.

A key component of Kids in Conservation is an annual grant program through which a contribution will be made to an Conservation Fundenterprising, forward-thinking youth organization that has demonstrated enthusiasm and ambition with regard to habitat conservation. For 2013, SportDOG Brand® will be awarding one grant of $1,000 to an individual or group who presents detailed plans for a project or series of projects aimed at improving or increasing wildlife habitat.

It is our hope that our efforts to encourage tomorrow’s conservationists will ensure a bright conservation future for generations to come.
