Call For Conservation Projects!
When
it comes to conservation, we’re all in this together. To prove
SportDOG Brand is as serious as you are about maintaining the
health of the outdoors community, our Conservation Fund will award
a $5,000 grant to each of four applicants who are undertaking or
participating in a new conservation initiative. Successful applicants
will use these grants to help fund projects dedicated to habitat
enhancement and game conservation. It is through such projects that we help
ensure sportsmen can continue to enjoy outdoor opportunities for
generations to come.
Eligibility
The SportDOG Brand Conservation Fund supports projects and programs
that strive to conserve and enhance wildlife populations and habitat
enhancement initiatives.
Grant Limits
Each of the four grants awarded in 2008 will be limited to $5000.
These funds are designed to function as complementary support
to an applicant’s
other fund-raising efforts. The Fund strongly encourages applicants
to seek additional funding from sources such as federal, state
and local government, conservation organizations and others.
Approved grant proposal applicants are notified by January
1, 2009 and grants are to be used during the 2009 calendar
year.
Grant Restrictions
SportDOG Brand Conservation Fund grants may not be used for indirect costs,
overhead or other expenses not directly related to the project. Fringe
benefits are also excluded, as are salaries.
