Gear to a Good Cause

Here at SportDOG we are very protective of our Brand, we recently found that our gear bags “blaze orange” wasn’t exactly what we were looking for, so rather than scrap the otherwise great gear bags we decided to donate the bags to the men and women of our armed forces.  Below is a story we recently received of what good use they have been put to.  Thank-you to all who serve in our military!  Special thanks to Judy for all you do!

“Judy,
Got three boxes all at once yesterday.  The bags are awesome!  Once we saw them, we thought of anther use for in them addition to stuffing extra ammo and water in (some will still be used for that).  Whenever we go to fly missions, the aircrews get issued special survival radios, hard drives to load into the aircraft with mission data, and maps for the area.  Keeping these items secure and accounted for is always an area of emphasis for our unit.  We load the bag with all of these items to keep them secure and easy to transport to and from the aircraft.  The great thing about the blaze orange top is that it minimizes the chances that a Soldier will misplace it.  If the aircraft were to actually be in an accident, the orange panel is used to signal rescue aircraft.  THE BAGS ARE PERFECT!

One of the pilots said….”Hey, it’s SportDOG!”  I love their collars!  He has two Labrador Retrievers and he uses SportDOG collars on them during his hunts.

Again, a special thanks to you, Wendy, Kelly, and SportDOG for the bags.  We are forever grateful!

Ralph”

You guys had done an amazing thing by your generous contribution to the military. I sent them photos of the bags to make sure they could use and they were so excited. The pilots had tried to get the military to purchase a bag like this but because of budget cuts they would not. I was able to rally my Kiwanis members and community members to provide the postage to mail the boxes. From the bottom of my heart thank you for these bags and you have the satisfaction that you could very well have the provided the item that saves someones life. Judy
