The Latest and Greatest for 2014

This week takes us out of the field and into the jungle that is Las Vegas for SHOT Show 2014. Every year we release our latest and greatest at this industry show. This year was no different. We arrived in Vegas with a gear bag full of awesome new products. Check out the highlights of what you can expect from us this year:

FieldTrainer® 425PINK

SD-425PINK

Introducing the stylish new FieldTrainer 425PINK featuring Realtree AP HD Colors Pink Camo.

A lot of women in our lives and our market have been demanding a more femininely designed system for as long as we can remember. We’ve always been open to this idea, but we wanted to make sure we did it right. To accomplish this, we started by looking at our product line-up. The FieldTrainer® 425 immediately jumped out at us as the perfect product to receive the woman’s touch. It’s lightweight and ergonomic while still being every bit as durable and reliable as the rest of our product portfolio. It’s got a great 500 yard range, is DryTek™ waterproof and submersible up to 25 feet, and is all around awesome in the field. Next we called on our longtime partner Realtree to help us with the style side of this exciting new release. After pouring over samples, we found a design our test group went crazy over: The Realtree AP HD Colors Pink Camo. This design adds a bold new look to the FieldTrainer® 425PINK. Our new look will be premiering on the shelves at major sporting dog supply outlets beginning in June.

TEK 2.0 featuring maps will be available later this year.

We are now proud to announce that TEK 2.0 will hit shelves later this year. You all told us the #1 feature you would like to see on the newest addition to the TEK line was maps, and we’re giving you maps. For more information on TEK 2.0 stay follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and this blog.

Will your electronics be tritronic or dogtra compatible for winger setup?

They will work with the Dogtra basket. The electronics will not be compatible with other electronics.

I guess I need to clarify. Wingers work with dogtra electronics by causing the servo to work one way. With the tritronics electronics the servo must be reversed or the manufacturer sets the winger to work with dogtra or tritronics. My question is which one will sportdog operate without changing the servo?

Sorry. We misunderstood your question. Yes, our electronics will operate wingers as they are. Thanks!

So they will operate my wingers that are setup for tritronics and my training partner’s that are setup for dogtra without changing the servos?

That is a great question. TEK 2.0 is not actually available yet. Look for it later this year. TEK 1.0 and TEK 2.0 are not compatible units and will continue to be offered as separate products. Thanks!
