How to Win the Wild Quail Hunt of a Lifetime

Hunting on Horseback

Regional Sales Manager Josh Miller and Category Manager Clay Thompson getting ready to down some wild quail on a recent SportDOG trip to Sinkola Plantation.

As you probably already know, we are offering SportDOG customers the chance to win an ALL-EXPENSE-PAID wild quail hunt with our team. Our “Work for Us” for a Weekend contest gives you the opportunity to join the SportDOG team on a hunt at Sinkola Plantation in Thomasville, GA. You’ll hunt with us on horseback or mule-drawn carriage while getting to test our latest and greatest products and giving your feedback on what you’d like to see in our current/future products. It’s a great opportunity to join us for a day of “work” as we continue to bring you “Gear the Way You’d Design It”.

We’ve had some questions about what it takes to become a finalist, and it’s easier than you think to find yourself at Sinkola with us. Here are some Frequently Asked Questions we’re receiving:

How do I enter?

Entering is easy. Either make a video or write a short essay describing why you should be selected to help make “Gear the Way You’d Design It”. You can write your essay in or submit your YouTube video link at www.sportdog.com/WorkforUs.

If I do a video, does it need to be professional?

Heck no. It can be a video shot on your phone or a piece you’ve been putting together for years. Just make sure it’s less than 90 seconds and includes the phrase “I should make gear the way you’d design it because…”. Post the video on YouTube and share the link with us at www.sportdog.com/WorkforUs.

If I do an essay, does it need to read as a professional script?

All we care about is your passion for dogs and hunting. We don’t care how you say it. We’re gonna be honest, grammar ain’t our strong suit. We recommend visiting the website and writing it in right there. We find your passion shows through the most when you write straight from the heart without over thinking it.

If I write the essay, will I still need to make a video?

Yes, if you are an essay finalist you will be contacted to make a video before voting goes live to the public.

How do I win?

The SportDOG team will pick our 10 favorite videos/essays. Essay finalist will be contacted to make a video. Video finalists will just be notified that they are in the finals. On October 8th, we will post the 10 finalists videos and SportDOG consumers will get to vote. The (2) videos with the most votes win. The two winners will each get to bring (1) guest to join us on the wild quail hunting trip of a lifetime!

How much time do I have to enter?

The deadline is approaching! We will stop accepting entries at the end  August so get your essays or videos in now! It’s a quick and easy process for a HUGE reward.

Why would I want to hang out with you?

We’re told we’re actually quite a fun crowd, especially when it comes to hunting. Not only will you get to hunt all day, but we’re pretty good for a laugh and we’ve been known to enjoy some good beer after a day in the field. Most of all, you’ll get to see some awesome dogs work and get to take part in designing the best gear in the industry.

Do you have any more questions? If so, just let us know. We’re always available to help. Get those entries in and good luck!
