One of our biggest points of pride in SportDOG is our extended ProStaff. These men and women dedicate their lives to hunting and dog training. They’re always available to give input into our products in development, improving our existing product and helping us figure out the next big thing in hunting dog training. Every once in a while we like to feature these guys so you get a better feel of who’s in the field for us. This week, we’re featuring Dave Roers. If you’ve attended an outdoor event in the Minnesota or Wisconsin area, chances are you’ve met Dave. He’s a dedicated hunter, family man and dog trainer and an all-around great member of our team. If you’ll be in Anoka, MN for Game Fair, stop by our booth and take an opportunity to learn more about Dave.
Growing up in a rural town in western Minnesota, I had always hoped to move back to a small town setting. After 15 years of living in the Twin Cities, my wife Susan and I decided to move our family south of the metro to a small hobby farm in the middle of a cornfield. Our son Alex, 19, an electrical lineman and our daughter Grayson, 17, a high school senior are both lovers of the outdoors, hunting, fishing and everything DOGS.
We enjoy our two black labs, Lindy & Cooper. Whether its hunting, training, swimming, or just relaxing at home, our dogs are a part of everything we do.
We are definitely a SportDOG family. I feel fortunate to work for such a great company and with an such amazing staff. I can’t imagine loving a job more…exchanging stories and experiences with people who share my passion for sporting dogs.
Lindy & Cooper love their SportHunter 1825 e-collar. It’s been a great tool for field training as well as keeping them well mannered and lovable to family and friends. Our 100A in-ground fence keeps them safe and let’s them have free run on our hobby farm. Our new favorite is their hot pink collars with locator beacon for night time visibility out in the yard.
If you think you’ve got what it takes to join Dave as a member of our ProStaff, email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application.
