How SportDOG NoBark Collars Work

When the collar senses a dog’s bark, it delivers a short, harmless, electronic stimulation. If the dog continues barking, the collar delivers another stimulation. A barking dog quickly discovers that the only way to avoid the correction is to be quiet. SportDOG Brand’s Perfect Bark® technology means the collar will never mistake anything for your dog’s bark except, well, your dog’s bark. The patented design requires both the sound of your dog’s bark and a tangible vibration from the bark to occur at the same time before it corrects your dog. Every other anti-bark system available triggers off one or the other, but not both. Hear the quiet?

Understanding of Cause and Effect
In any e-collar training program, your dog must understand that his/her actions lead to a reaction. NoBark collars apply a correction to your dog as soon as he starts barking.

Conservation of Energy
The more energy your pup expends barking, the less energy he/she has to apply to other activities, such as training, going the extra mile in the field, etc. Deterring your dog from barking fits will ensure you all get the most out of your time together.

Stress Reduction
After your dog learns that this barking is inappropriate behavior, he will also have a chance to become comfortable with the sounds and sights of his surroundings, making him more at ease.

When bark-control collars came on the market, they solved a problem that most of us have experienced at one time or another: a dog that just won’t be quiet. Most hunters are familiar with bark-control collars, the e-collars that automatically correct a dog when it barks excessively. But did you know that using a bark-control collar provides benefits that will help you make your dog a better hunter?

A dog that has learned to respect its bark-control collar is:

  • Calmer in the kennel
  • More responsive in the field
  • Easier to train

A dog that uses a bark-control collar doesn’t:

  • Break noise ordinances, leaving you with a hefty fine when your neighbors complain
  • Waste energy barking
  • Cause other dogs to start barking
