Jonathan is an avid bird hunter. He takes trips to multiple states each year for the pursuit of upland birds and waterfowl before settling in for duck season at home in Southeast Louisiana. He breeds and trains Deutsch Kurzhaars (German Shorthairs) which he loves for their versatility in pointing, retrieving, and tracking both feathered and furred game. He is the Regional Director for the MidSouth Region of North American Deutch Kurzhaar Club, and has served as Southeast Region Director also. Prior to that, he was the president of the MidSouth Chapter of NAVHDA. He is also a committee member for the Thibodaux Chapter of Ducks Unlimited.
Why I Use SportDOG™ Brand
Since being introduced to SportDOG training collars a number of years ago, I have been very satisfied with the products for multiple reasons: price, ease of use, warranty, customer service, and versatility. It's hard to pick which of these is most important to me, but I'd have to say the versatility is the key. It is crucial for me to be able to swap collars and transmitters in a given situation if I lose a component or have a malfunction when I am across the country hunting in a remote area. But I have to add that the customer service sets SportDOG apart from other companies that I have dealt with in the past.
