SportDOG® Brand Introduces the WetlandHunter™ 2000

Nov.05

Back to 2004 Press Releases

The WetlandHunter 2000 answers the need for a remote training collar that can stand up to the harsh environments frequented by waterfowl hunters. Most importantly, both the transmitter and collar are completely waterproof. But that’s just the beginning in a long list of features and benefits that reflect the company’s dedication to providing premium products for serious sportsmen.

The transmitter and collar receiver each operate on a long-life, rechargeable Nickel-Metal Hydride battery for trouble-free use. They provide up to ¾-mile range and are engineered to provide the necessary contact needed to correct swimming dogs at long distances. Both components also feature a low-battery warning light so a hunter is never stuck in the marsh with a dead training system.

The versatile, compact transmitter provides plenty of training options, with up to 16 levels of continuous or momentary stimulation, a tone-only button and tone with one-second delay option. The transmitter also allows the user to select one of eight different training modes, including a two-dog mode in which the user controls one collar or the other via a simple toggle switch. For two-dog operation, simply purchase a SportDOG Add-A-Dog® collar and match it to the transmitter.

The uniquely styled transmitter, collar strap and collar receiver feature a non-reflective camouflage pattern, the popular Advantage® MAX-4 HD™ from Realtree®, a waterfowling favorite.

Suggested retail price for the WetlandHunter 2000 is $319.99.
