About Me Long-time Pet Owner
Comments about SportDOG SD-1825 SportHunter®:
I studied all kinds of e trainers. Talked to freinds and decided to go with the Sport Dog 1825 because of it's range and ability to customize. My male lab runs long distance in no time and the vibration works to keep him in check most the time. Only used the shock ounce and now vibrate keeps him in line without making him skidish. My female lab is much smaller and better minded and the vibration is all I ever need for her. I did not like the "tone" only collars even though I herd many good things about some of the manufacturers. If you study you know who they are. I just did not want my dogs to think every time a beep went off in the world, they did some thing wrong. Now I have perfect well minded dogs. Thanks to the Sport Dog 1825. Keep in mind....My dogs were well trained prior to getting the collar and that is a must. Training time can not be replaced. The DVD was very helpfull, but I elected to use the vibrate feature insted of appling "pressure". I reserve this for unwanted behavor and use vibrate when giving comands. It seems to get and keep thier attention.

Happy with My Purchase

Solid range; a very good product overall. I researched a lot of collars looking for one with a stimulation low enough for my *soft* Brittany and wide enough range to catch him at full sprint. I found exactly what I wanted with the 1825.Wish you you guys made a beeper compatible with it...
Great Collar

This collar is very durable. My dog hunts hard through all kinds of brush and I have not had a problem with it yet. It also has great battery life.

Great range and reliability

I have had a great experience with my 1825. I'd say it's got a solid mile reach and the response time is really good no missed shocks. The vibe setting is really awesome too. Got my retrievers attention quick.
