Background:
Owning Labrador Retrievers since the age of 9 has given me a rare opportunity. I learned to listen to my dogs. My dogs have taught me more than I have taught them and to think any different would be an error on my part.
I have had the pleasure of training dogs for 29 years and have owned and operated Super Dog Obedience and Gun Dog Training for 19 years. I work with all breeds of dogs and they have all taught me a tremendous amount of priceless knowledge that I gladly share with others.
I began bird hunting when I was 18 years old. I grew up hunting other species of game but since my Dad was not a waterfowl hunter I did not have access to duck hunting. So I taught my dogs to hunt grouse and quail, and then searched for a waterfowl group to join. Several years later I found became an active member of the Hunting Retriever Club.
Throughout my training, I have worked under the belief that if you love what you do and you understand what is expected, you will perform to the best of your ability and that is how I train my dogs. Firm but fair and I make sure they understand what is asked of them.
My main dog now is HR Fowlcreeks TF Black as Night CD SH(aka Nighty). She is a 7 year old Labrador Retriever. She is my hunting partner and my constant companion. We do seminars and demonstrations for Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s and several others stores to promote our sponsors, hunting and the joy’s of having a great dog.
